O desempenho em estado estacion\u00e1rio de uma bomba de calor de compress\u00e3o el\u00e9ctrica num determinado conjunto de condi\u00e7\u00f5es de temperatura \u00e9 referido como o coeficiente de desempenho (COP). \u00c9 definido como o r\u00e1cio entre o calor fornecido pela bomba de calor e a eletricidade fornecida ao compressor. <p><br><p>No caso das bombas de calor com motor e acionadas termicamente, o desempenho \u00e9 indicado pelo r\u00e1cio de energia prim\u00e1ria (PER). A energia fornecida \u00e9 ent\u00e3o o valor calor\u00edfico superior (HHV) do combust\u00edvel fornecido. Para as bombas de calor el\u00e9ctricas, pode tamb\u00e9m ser definido um PER, multiplicando o COP pela efici\u00eancia da produ\u00e7\u00e3o de energia. <p><br>O COP ou PER de uma bomba de calor est\u00e1 intimamente relacionado com a eleva\u00e7\u00e3o de temperatura, ou seja, a diferen\u00e7a entre a temperatura da fonte de calor e a temperatura de sa\u00edda da bomba de calor.
