Door het algehele verminderde energieverbruik in energiezuinige huizen neemt het deel van de warmte dat nodig is voor sanitair water toe van 30% tot 40%. Dit stelt nieuwe eisen aan een verwarmingssysteem. In deze woning zijn er twee luchtwarmtepompen: een voor verwarming (van oktober tot april) en de andere voor sanitair water (het hele jaar door).  <\/td><td valign=\"top\" width=\"16\"><\/td><td valign=\"top\" width=\"94\">  <p><img height=\"157\" alt=\"MINERGIE-single-family house in Sch&ouml;tz (NTH4).\" src=\"http:\/\/www.heatpumpcentre.org\/Publications\/Case_Sch&ouml;tz.jpg\" width=\"250\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\"> <\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" width=\"564\" colspan=\"3\">De eerste gebruikt buitenlucht en de tweede afvoerlucht binnenshuis als warmtebron. De SPF van de 4,6 kW warmtepomp voor ruimteverwarming is 3,0. Als ook hulpvoorzieningen zoals ventilatoren voor warmteterugwinning en standby-verliezen van de boiler worden meegerekend, daalt de SPF naar 2,0.<br>Deze casestudy is gebaseerd op informatie van (NTH4). De werkelijk gebruikte hoeveelheid was hoger en bedroeg 242 MJ\/m2a (23\u00baC) vanwege de hogere effectieve gemiddelde kamertemperatuur, hogere luchtverversingssnelheid enz. Warm water (57 l\/persoon\/dag, 50\u00baC) 12 maanden per jaar, ruimteverwarming in de winterperiode. De regeling van de retourtemperatuur is afhankelijk van de buitentemperatuur.
