Il consiglio comunale del nord-est della Tasmania vuole discutere questa settimana con l'azienda di legname Gunns sul futuro di una segheria locale.<\/p>\n

Il sindaco del Consiglio di Dorset, Barry Jarvis, afferma di aver incontrato il premier in merito alla potenziale perdita di posti di lavoro, ma di voler incontrare anche Gunns.<\/p>\n
\u201cIntendiamo certamente avviare un tentativo per ottenere un incontro con Gunns a livello di senior management\u201d, ha dichiarato.<\/p>\n

Il Consiglio sta anche studiando progetti di energia rinnovabile per creare posti di lavoro che potrebbero essere persi dalla segheria di Scottsdale.<\/p>\n
Jarvis ha dichiarato che il Consiglio ha intenzione di esaminare gli studi sui progetti per l'energia delle onde e sul parco eolico di Musselroe, ormai in disuso.<\/p>\n
\u201cDobbiamo diversificare un po\u201d nel nord-est, o diversificare molto\", ha detto.<\/p>\n
