Quali sono i tipi di pompe di calore?

Heat pumps are mainly classified into three categories according to heat source types

  • Pompa di calore a sorgente d'aria: Uses air as the heat source, featuring convenient installation and wide applicability. Commonly used in household air conditioners and air-source water heaters; low-temperature models can operate stably in cold regions.
  • Water Source Heat Pump: Utilizes heat from groundwater, surface water or wastewater with higher energy efficiency. Limited by water resource conditions, it is mostly used for central heating and cooling in large buildings.
  • Ground Source Heat Pump: Relies on shallow geothermal heat in the soil, offering stable operation and outstanding energy-saving effects. It has relatively high upfront well-drilling construction costs and is suitable for projects such as villas and residential communities

Heat pumps are mainly classified into five categories according to Application

 

  • Heating Heat Pumps:  Their core function is winter heating, serving as an alternative to traditional boilers and radiators. Suitable for residences, shopping malls, factories and other scenarios.
  • Domestic Hot Water Heat Pumps: Designed specifically for producing domestic hot water, they are widely used in households, hotels, schools, swimming pools and other places.
  • Drying Heat Pumps:  A type of industrial/commercial dedicated heat pump, they use high-temperature hot air for material drying, commonly applied to agricultural products, traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, timber, food, seafood and industrial products.
  • Heat Pumps for Both Cooling and Heating: These integrate cooling and heating functions, providing cooling in summer and heating in winter; some models also support hot water production.
  • Special-Purpose Heat Pumps:  This category includes swimming pool constant-temperature heat pumps, high-temperature steam heat pumps, cold bath heat pumps, etc.

Heat pumps are mainly classified into three categories according to  Core Technology

 

  • Low-Temperature Jet Enthalpy-Increasing Heat Pump:  Adopting jet enthalpy-increasing compressor technology, it improves heating capacity and energy efficiency in low-temperature environments through secondary air replenishment.
  • High-Temperature Steam Heat Pump:  It can produce high-temperature hot water and even low-pressure steam, with outlet water temperature above 80℃.  Kolant’s heat pump can provide   80℃~120℃ outlet water
  • Ultra-Low Temperature Heat Pump:  Specially designed for extremely cold environments, it can operate stably for heating at temperatures as low as -25℃ to -35℃. Kolant’s heat pump can work at Ambient Temperature  -35℃.
