Jan. 18, 2007 – The Norwegian Commission on Low Emissions points to heat pumps as one of the technologies that could help cut Norwegian greenhouse gas emissions by 50-80 percent by 2050.
The Norwegian Commission on Low Emissions was appointed by the Norwegian government on March 11, 2005. The Commission has been charged with the task of preparing scenarios of how Norway can reduce its emissions of greenhouse gases by 50-80 percent by 2050. The Commission presented its final report to Minister of the Environment on October 4th, 2006.
