De l'eau circule pour siphonner la chaleur de la route et la stocker sous terre pendant plusieurs mois. <\/p>\n<p>La route chauff\u00e9e, un peu comme le chauffage par rayonnement dans une maison, a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue \u00e0 l'origine comme un moyen de faire fondre la glace sur les routes sans avoir \u00e0 les saler lourdement. <\/p>\n<p>Aujourd'hui, avec l'int\u00e9r\u00eat croissant pour les formes d'\u00e9nergie renouvelables, le syst\u00e8me peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour chauffer et refroidir les maisons tout en r\u00e9duisant les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre de 50 %. <\/p>\n<p>Un projet en cours utilise la route de haute technologie pour chauffer quatre immeubles de bureaux. La chaleur stock\u00e9e est utilis\u00e9e en conjonction avec <a style=\"TEXT-DECORATION: none\" href=\"\/fr\/\">pompe \u00e0 chaleur \u00e0 air<\/a>     pour atteindre des temp\u00e9ratures suffisamment \u00e9lev\u00e9es pour r\u00e9chauffer un b\u00e2timent.<\/p>\n<p>Le syst\u00e8me co\u00fbte deux fois plus cher que les techniques de construction routi\u00e8re existantes, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Ooms Avenhorn Holdings \u00e0 l'Associated Press, mais il devrait permettre de r\u00e9duire l'entretien et de diminuer le nombre d'accidents dus au verglas. <\/p>\n<p>Il n'est pas certain que les routes chauff\u00e9es puissent \u00eatre g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9es.
